Talisman: Carte Blanche to Ali Banisadr Exhibition at the Musée Gustave Moreau in Paris

9 September—7 November 2026
Musée Gustave Moreau, Paris

To mark the bicentenary of the birth of Gustave Moreau (1826–1898), the National Museum has invited Ali Banisadr to take over its spaces as part of a ‘carte blanche’ project. An exhibition organised in collaboration with gallery Thaddaeus Ropac Paris, conceived as a subtle dialogue between the artist’s reflections and those of the Symbolist master Gustave Moreau. The American artist of Iranian origin has created a body of work comprising paintings, bronze sculptures and pastels, alongside earlier pieces. A unique event at the crossroads of myth, memory, history and the imagination.

‘Talisman. Carte blanche to Ali Banisadr’
from 9 September to 7 December 2026 at the
Gustave Moreau Museum, Paris
