It was sewn over a period of a year by her grandmother’s best friend Agnes, and Lou rediscovered this treasured object by chance while tidying her house during this period of confinement. She describes its nostalgic importance and wonders at the long process of stitching together different pieces of fabric to create a soothing object that Lou now recognises has inspired her work as an artist.
