SLG Forever Alvaro Barrington in Benefit Auction

Christie’s Private Sales is proud to present SLG Forever, an exhibition to raise vital funds for the South London Gallery (SLG), one of London’s leading contemporary art galleries. The SLG has championed the role of art and artists in society since it was established as a charity in 1891. As it enters its 135th anniversary year, this exhibition is the first of a series of fundraising initiatives organised by the SLG to unfold over the course of 2026.

More than 25 leading British and international artists, who have strong connections to the SLG and its Director, Margot Heller, in her 25th year in the role, have generously donated works. Many of these artists have had solo exhibitions at the SLG, including Alvaro Barrington.

Proceeds from sales will raise much-needed funds to upgrade the historic main gallery building, commission new works by some of today’s most exciting artists, and engage thousands more local children and young people each year through the SLG’s acclaimed Communities & Learning programmes.

On view at Christie’s in London from 5 to 24 June, the exhibition is also available online until 30 September.
