Sturtevant Un Placer Incierto
Un placer incierto is an exhibition that focuses on a specific aspect of the prestigious collection of visionary, former gallerist, and collector Pierre Huber: his multimedia and time-based media artworks.
The term time-based media describes works that unfold temporally, i.e. have a duration, and includes film, video, mono and multi-channel video installations, slide projections, multimedia environments, sound, performance and digital art.
Un placer incierto is a testimony to the development of multimedia art and time spanning four decades. This exhibition includes artists central to the history of the medium, such as Nam June Paik and Tony Oursler; and foundational figures for the development of conceptual art, such as Robert Barry and On Kawara.
