Oliver Beer is one of the twenty guest artists selected to participate in the ninth edition of Triennial Beaufort. From De Panne to Knokke-Heist, Beaufort27 presents 20 new works of art along the entire 67-kilometre Belgian coastline. The open-air exhibition is free to visit and brings contemporary art to a wide audience of culture lovers, coastal residents and tourists from home and abroad. The artistic creations engage in a dialogue with the natural environment of the coast and give a new meaning to the places in which they are exhibited.

Beaufort27 is rooted in the idea of a shared horizon. A Shared Horizon is not
an exhibition theme in the conventional sense, but a way of questioning our
relationship with what is to come. The horizon is neither a destination nor the
promise of a shared future on which we have already agreed. It is a moving
point of reference: as we move forward, it shifts and forces us to choose a
direction. From the Belgian coast, the artists question what we have inherited, what we wish to preserve, transform or let go of, and what we want to pass on to those who come after us. Their works bring stories, memories and sometimes invisible realities to the surface, without seeking to summarise them in a single vision.
