Han Bing and Eva Helene Pade PROJECT 12
To mark the 150th anniversary of the Palais Garnier in 2025, the Paris National Opera and Arop, the Association for the Promotion of the Paris National Opera, are launching a unique program, PROJECT 12, an exceptional artist residency in the heart of the famous Parisian monument.
Throughout this year, an artist will be hosted each month at the Palais Garnier, a true temple of artistic creation.
During their residency, each artist will be invited to create an exclusive work, inspired by their experience and the unique atmosphere of the Palais Garnier, just as their 19th-century predecessors drew inspiration from the lines and volumes of Garnier to conceive their work. These works, a true dialogue between past and present, will be auctioned in 2026, allowing art patrons to support contemporary creation and contribute to the prestige of the Paris Opera, while extending the artistic tradition that has shaped this legendary venue.
The works produced will be exhibited at the Palais Garnier, from October 21 to 30, 2026.
