Thaddaeus Ropac presents With Winds S8708-43 (1987), by Lee Ufan, one of South Korea’s most famous painters and a key figure of Dansaekhwa painting. This work is from a series of paintings known for whimsical brushstrokes that the artist made over four years. Lee is having a bit of a celebrity moment at age 90 with a solo exhibition through 22 November at the San Marco Art Centre in Venice and his first major show in Portugal at the Serralves Villa in Porto, opening 17 October.
