Ali Banisadr MATRIX 185

The artist's first solo museum exhibition in the U.S., Ali Banisadr, MATRIX 185 will present paintings and prints by Banisadr alongside a selection of works from the Wadsworth's collection chosen by the artist. The exhibition will also feature a video collage made by Banisadr of additional inspirational works from the museum's collection. 

Banisadr's depiction of abstracted masses feel especially relevant right now ... His compositions echo the disquiet we are witnessing across the world today, including political rallies, protest marches, and street riots. A Program of Events will run alongside the exhibition including a virtual gallery talk with the arists on Friday 23rd October and an online discussion between Ali Banisadr and Robert Hobbs, critic and progessor emeritus of art history, on Friday 20th November.
