Alvaro Barrington in conversation with Hans Ulrich Obrist Prada Frames Symposium

Sunday 19 April, 2pm
Santa Maria delle Grazie, Milan, Italy

Now in its fifth edition, Prada Frames is the annual symposium curated by design and research studio Formafantasma, held alongside Milan’s Salone del Mobile. Titled In Sight, this edition explores image-making as a defining element of contemporary culture, where representation often prevails over facts.

Prada Frames In Sight takes place at Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, with talks hosted in the Sacrestia, a Renaissance space traditionally attributed to Bramante and distinguished by inlaid cabinets depicting early sixteenth-century biblical scenes by Domenico and Francesco Morone.

Alvaro Barrington will be in conversation with Hans Ulrich Obrist – Artistic Director at Serpentine Galleries, London – on Sunday 19 April at 2pm, exploring the relationship between painting, spirituality and architecture.

He will also contribute to the symposium by way of an introduction to the Last Supper during the session that takes place on Sunday 19 April at 4pm and takes visitors on a tour throughout the complex.

Registration to his sessions will open on 13 April.
