Thomas Houseago on Joseph Beuys Talk and tour of Joseph Beuys: Bathtub for a Heroine

Join us to mark the closing weekend of the exhibition, Joseph Beuys: Bathtub for a Heroine, with a walk-through led by renowned British artist Thomas Houseago. Houseago will share his insights into the work on view and discuss how Beuys's ideas have profoundly influenced his own sculptural practice.
Thomas Houseago (b. 1972, Leeds) studied art at Central Saint Martins, London in the early 1990s before moving to Amsterdam to study at De Ateliers. In 2004, he moved to Los Angeles where he continues to live and work. Selected recent exhibitions have taken place at institutions including the Rubell Museum, Miami (2025); TANK Shanghai (2023); Centre Pompidou-Metz (2022); Sara Hildén Museum, Tampere (2022); Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, Brussels (2021); Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (2019); and Royal Academy of Arts, London (2019).
