In the final weeks of Anselm Kiefer's joint show, Kiefer/Van Gogh, at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, writer and curator Petra Giloy-Hirtz speaks with filmmaker Sophie Fiennes (Anselm Kiefer documentary: Over Your Cities Grass Will Grow) about Giloy-Hirtz's new book, Anselm Kiefer: The Women (2025). Produced in close collaboration with the Anselm Kiefer Studio, Anselm Kiefer: The Women illuminates the omnipresence of the female figures throughout the artist’s oeuvre in all the complexity of their thought and writing, their vision, creativity and radicalism.
