Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac opens branch in Milan

The new, now seventh location of the international gallery, headquartered in Salzburg, opens its doors in the luxury metropolis of Milan on September 20. The opening event will feature a presentation of works by artists Lucio Fontana and Georg Baselitz, followed by VALIE EXPORT and Ketty La Rocca.

Thaddaeus Ropac describes Austria and Germany as the home of the gallery, which has also had locations in Paris and London for some time. Now the gallery is expanding into Italy for the first time. Ropac is focusing on Milan as the center of the art debate in Italy, which he now intends to further develop.
