Megan Rooney: Artist Talk in conversation with Emily LaBarge
Artist Megan Rooney was in conversation with writer Emily LaBarge to celebrate Yellow Yellow Blue, Rooney’s exhibition of new paintings at the gallery. They discussed Rooney’s new body of work and her enduring interest in colour, movement, and gesture. LaBarge and Rooney also spoke about the relationship between language and image and their longstanding collaboration of over a decade.
Emily LaBarge is a Canadian writer living in London. Her essays and criticism have appeared in Granta, the London Review of Books, Artforum, mousse, Bookforum, frieze, and The Paris Review, among others. She is a regular contributor to The New York Times and 4Columns. Her first book, Dog Days, will be published by Peninsula Press in 2025.
