David Salle: Under One Roof Exhibition presented by Hyundai Card Storage

From Saturday, May 10, 2025 to Sunday, September 7, 2025, Hyundai Card Storage will host a solo exhibition by artist David Salle, who expands the boundaries of painting by giving contemporaneity to paintings, animations, and NFTs through media experiments. The exhibition will present around 40 paintings and media works, including around 20 of Salle's new series Windows, which are being revealed for the first time in Korea. 

This exhibition illuminates the entire artistic journey of David Salle, from his early works to new works being unveiled for the first time in Korea, and weaves together art history, advertising, design, and American culture. All works are structured in such a way that form and meaning are closely intertwined under one roof. In paintings that combine concrete forms, abstract expressions, and theatrical gestures, the artist embodies images and time overlapping within the frame. The exhibition is largely divided into three parts, starting with older works from the 1990s to the early 2000s, followed by the most beloved series Tree of Life and new work Windows, and containing the changes in the works over time and David Salle’s values ​​revealed within them.
