Yan Pei-Ming exhibited at M+ Hong Kong Group exhibition: Picasso for Asia: A Conversation
Picasso for Asia: A Conversation adopts a new and unique perspective to interpret the legacy of Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881–1973). More than sixty masterpieces by Picasso will be on loan from Musée national Picasso-Paris (MnPP), which holds the largest and most significant repository of Picasso’s works in the world. They will be placed in conversation with over eighty pieces from the M+ Collections by more than twenty Asian and Asian-diasporic artists from the early twentieth century to the present, including Yan Pei-Ming. The first major exhibition of Picasso in Hong Kong in more than a decade, it proposes an unprecedented cross-cultural and intergenerational dialogue between the twentieth-century European master and contemporary Asian artists.
