The collection is based on drawings, sketches and text created by Melgaard, and consists of more than a hundred unique jewellery pieces. All are based in 925 silver and 18-carat solid gold, studded with diamonds, emeralds, rubies and gems in colourful combinations.
Here Melgaard’s world is recreated in miniature scale. One part of the collection consists of exclusive, "one of a kind"-jewellery, and is sold exclusively at Astrup Fearnley SHOP the weekend of 25th to 27th of November.
A smaller part of the collection is produced in limited, but bigger editions, and these pieces are sold exclusively in the Astrup Fearnley SHOP until January 1st, 2017.
In collaboration with art director and artist, Babak Radboy (US), it’s also the launch of the Bjarne Melgaard + BJØRG art calendar for 2017, which will also available in the Astrup Fearnley SHOP. With miniature pigs as jewellery and calendar models, each month presents a new scenario from artist Bjarne Melgaard's life!
