Jonathan Jones talk on Robert Rauschenberg: ROCI London Gallery Weekend event
Join Thaddaeus Ropac gallery for a talk and tour of 'Robert Rauschenberg: ROCI' by The Guardian art critic and writer Jonathan Jones.
Writing about ROCI, Jonathan has said, 'The fragmented yet emotional images of modern life that Robert Rauschenberg assembled, collaged and screenprinted are more resonant than ever in the 21st century.' The exhibition spans works made by Rauschenberg between 1984 and 1991 as part of the Rauschenberg Overseas Cultural Interchange, which was designed to foster international collaboration through art. Jonathan will discuss the radical material developments in Rauschenberg's practice as well as the global impacts and legacy of the project.
