Belle Haleine Georg Baselitz solo exhibition at the Galleria degli Antichi in Sabbioneta
From 27 April to 24 November 2024, the evocative Renaissance structure of the Galleria degli Antichi in Sabbioneta (Mantua) will host the exhibition Belle Haleine by the famous German artist Georg Baselitz, a leading figure in the world of contemporary art. With this international exhibition, the Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation gets to the heart of its management and valorization activities of the artistic and monumental heritage of the UNESCO site of Sabbioneta, the Ideal City founded by Vespasiano Gonzaga Colonna.
Under the frescoed ceilings and along the twenty-six arches of the Gallery of the Ancients, imposing sculptures, large paintings on canvas and, for the first time all together, ten provocative engravings by the artist will be exhibited.
