Coherence and Diversity—New Patterns of Contemporary Painting Art Group exhibition featuring Han Bing

6 April—16 April 2024
National Art Museum of China, Beijing

The 35 artists participating in this exhibition are all active in the field of contemporary art, and they correspond to the three periods of the development of Chinese contemporary art. The generation born in the 1970s inherited the modern art movement of the 1980s, combined new artistic language with realistic Chinese experience, and initially realized a modern Chinese expression. After 2000, globalization has profoundly affected the contemporary art industry. The integration of "inviting in" and "going out", and the integration of international language and local symbols have created an image of Chinese contemporary art speaking to the world. After 2010, the tremendous changes in Chinese society have strengthened artists' understanding and experience of society, history, culture and survival. The younger generation of artists reflect the historical process and personal experiences of great social changes in their works. By displaying the works of Chinese contemporary artists from different periods in the past thirty years, the exhibition reviews the development of Chinese contemporary art and displays the current diversified development of art ecology.
