A monumental figure working with feminist actions since the 1960s, VALIE EXPORT’s work has redefined the field of performance, expanded cinema, and artistic practice. EXPORT centers her body as a provocation to unveil traditionally private discourse through direct interventions in public space. This exhibition, EXPORT’s first solo presentation in Los Angeles since 2001, reexamines these seminal works within a contemporary lens and features an auxiliary performance program series organized by Chloë Flores.
