lick your teeth, they so clutch was acquired by Tate in 2021 and now features in Tate Britain's  permanent display of British art.

Kaleidoscopic in colour and detail, lick your teeth, they so clutch, is a work made using oil stick and oil pastel on canvas. It belongs to a series of the same name in which Jones explores the potential for shape, colour and pattern to be used to represent both a bodily and psychological terrain.

The work's title is a direct address, confident and celebratory, an instruction to own and enjoy one's individual identity.
