Nosik Lim 임노식

Nosik Lim (b.1989) observes the relationships formed between different living and non-living beings that coexist within a given environment, and his paintings depict how these forms of life connect and depend on each other. His signature use of layering transparent oil pastels acts as a device to reveal the hidden dynamics of space and boundaries. Lim lives and works in Seoul, Korea. 

임노식(1989년생)은 주어진 장소 또는 지역 안에서 형성되는 관계들과 그것으로 이루어지는 사회의 풍경에 주목한다. 한 환경 속에서 다양한 생명의 형태들이 서로를 의지하며 이어지는 상태를 회화로 그려낸다. 그의 회화에 이용되는 투명한 오일 파스텔 막은 이미지 속 얽혀있는 공간의 작동상태를 드러내기 위해 구축한 작가의 예술적 언어이다.
