There is no greater privilege than looking at the world through the eyes of an artist, to understand what shapes their thinking and informs their work.
In this episode of Artist's Eye, Alvaro Barrington took Artists I Steal From – the exhibition he co-curated with Julia Peyton-Jones for our London gallery last year – as his starting-point for a poetic exploration of the drawn line and its legacy. He traced its sinuous curves through the artworks he admires, the music that shaped him and his own history, as well as in the paintings and drawings he is currently working on in the studio.
