Joan Snyder joins the gallery American Abstract Painter Joan Snyder Bolsters the Roster of Thaddaeus Ropac
Joan Snyder will join Thaddaeus Ropac for representation in Europe and Asia while maintaining representation with New York's Canada gallery in the US. The artist is known for her chaotic, gestural stroke paintings, which went against the grain of the male-dominated Minimalist movement.
With a career spanning six decades, Snyder's works are highly regarded and can be found in prestigious collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Met, New York, and Tate Modern, London. In the past few years, Snyder has seen an increased interest in her work, particularly when one of her paintings set a $478,800 artist auction record in November 2023. Her first exhibit with Thaddaeus Ropac will take place in November 2024.
