Talk: Flavin Judd in conversation with Alice Rawsthorn Marking the launch of Donald Judd Furniture
Judd Foundation, Thaddaeus Ropac, and MACK are pleased to announce an in-conversation between Flavin Judd, Artistic Director of Judd Foundation and Alice Rawsthorn, design critic and author, to mark the launch of Donald Judd Furniture.
Donald Judd Furniture comprises Donald Judd’s furniture designs from 1970 to 1992 currently in production. It brings together drawings, breakdowns of materials, and colour photography, detailing over one hundred pieces of his furniture, designed for Judd’s living and working spaces at 101 Spring Street and in Presidio County, Texas. As well as surveying a central aspect of his work, it details Judd’s understanding of functionality, form, and his deep interest in the possibilities of design in a world of mass-production.
This event is free and open to the public though advance registration is encouraged. Please note priority will be given to those who have registered in advance, though advance registration does not guarantee admission once the event reaches capacity.
