Alvaro Barrington Notting Hill Carnival Commission 2023

This event marked the third year of Alvaro Barrington's involvement with the Notting Hill Carnival. In collaboration with Notting Hill Carnival and ACASA (Association of Calypsonians and Soca Artists), Barrington  co-programmed again this year's lineup at the Powis Square Stage, an annual sound system hosting two days of performances by local and international Soca artists. He also created a new body of work installed at Powis Square Stage, inspired by the pop colours of the Caribbean and the Carnival. Concurrently, Barrington also created new works for one of the performance trucks, which hosted the Mangrove Mas Band.
