Erwin Wurm solo show at Kurhaus, Baden-Baden, Germany

Erwin Wurm is known for his unusual depictions of everyday life: they not only question conventional viewing habits, but often also the associated and culturally conditioned world view of our time. By alienating the seemingly familiar in a caricature-like manner, Erwin Wurm enables a different, equally ironic and critical view of things. His love of banal everyday life and witty detail are an inspiration and part of his creative process. His works have already been shown in many of the world's major museums and can be found in the most important international art collections.

'On the occasion of his 70th birthday in July 2024, kunst findet stadt (art finds the city) in Baden-Baden is also celebrating one of the most renowned artists of our time this summer with a concentrated selection of works,' emphasise the two curators Johann Haehling and Florian Matzner.
