Ali Banisadr Foreign Lands
Noordbrabants Museum
Verwersstraat 41
's-hertogenbosch, Netherlands
The spring of 2019 will see Ali Banisadr's European museum début with a retrospective exhibition at Het Noordbrabants Museum. The exhibition aligns with the museum’s aspiration to introduce artists who are yet or seldom to be seen in the Netherlands.
The work of Ali Banisadr (b.1976, Tehran, Iran) demonstrates a careful balancing act between chaos and composure, and abstract and figurative painting and drawing. His complex, expansive paintings are rich with figurative allusions rooted in autobiographical narratives, sonic recollection, invented stories, world history, collective memory and mythology.
