Lee Kang So : Emergence and Dissolution Solo exhibition at the Lotte Museum of Art

Coinciding with Frieze Seoul 2026, the LOTTE Museum of Art presents a major solo exhibition of Lee Kang So, a representative figure in Korean contemporary art. Emergence and Dissolution highlights Lee's decades of artistic experimentation and philosophical reflection by presenting his paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos, and performance in one continuous flow. Through Lee's works, the exhibition revisits the vital moments that shaped Korean contemporary art. Working fluidly across a diverse range of media, Lee has consistently prioritised process over outcome. In his practice, an artwork is never a fixed conclusion, but a space where time, action, relationships, and perception accumulate; each brushstroke and trace serves as a living record of that unfolding process.
