Tony Cragg designs the stage set for Castor et Pollux at the Staatstheater Meiningen, bringing his distinctive sculptural language to Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Baroque opera. This production, conducted by Christopher Moulds and directed by Adriana Altaras, marks the opera’s premiere in Meiningen. Cragg collaborated with co-set designer Verena Hemmerlein to create a visually striking stage that complemented the opera’s dramatic contrasts between mythology, fate, and emotion.
