Director Pascal Hofmann traces the driving force of this restless cosmopolitan, and establishes a dialogue between the motifs in Vital’s work, his childhood dreams, and the influences of his most important places of stay such as Beijing, Patagonia, Niger, “his” village of Sent in the Grisons, and New York.

E, was made at the time of the exhibition of the same name, curated by Sergio Risaliti, which involved places of extraordinary historical and artistic value such as the Museum of San Marco, the Chapel of the Magi, the Rucellai Chapel and the Pazzi Chapel, in a relationship played out between the visibility of art and the invisibility of the spirit, linking Renaissance magnificence with contemporary artistic research.
