Tea with Julia Erwin Wurm
16 May 2020
In this episode of Tea with Julia, Julia spoke with Erwin Wurm, the Austrian artist whose work plays with the boundaries between form and formlessness, gravity and the absurd.
Wurm is perhaps best known for his One Minute Sculptures – sculptural performances in which participants follow a set of instructions from the artist, arranging themselves into challenging poses with everyday objects. More recently, his projects have included sculptures of bloated cars, large-scale Polaroids that often relate to his interest in fashion and architecture, drawings that he says 'walk around in his head' and a new body of work devoted to European philosophers.
