The recipient of the 13th DOOSAN Yonkang Arts Awards in Visual Arts, Heemin Chung works with the traditional medium of painting to explore new characteristics of today’s images and ways of experiencing themes. Emphasising the gap and heterogeneity between the material world and the digital environment, which is overflowing with images, the artist creates artworks that demonstrate a key development of her extensive study of painting and post-internet sensory experiences.
