Raqib Shaw Art UK Live Charity Auction

Raqib Shaw has donated Cloud Gathering (2007) for Art UK's Live Charity Auction.

Art UK is a cultural education charity dedicated to democratising access to art. Auction proceeds will be split between Art UK and the participating artists to support schools' learning resources for art education, to facilitate more of the nation's art being shown online and to tell stories around under-represented artists. 

The online auction will be accompanied by an exhibition at 4 Cromwell Place from 28th–29th September. 

Raqib Shaw was born in Calcutta, India in 1974 and lives and works in London. Solo exhibitions include Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh (2018); The Whitworth, Manchester, UK (2017); White Cube at Glyndebourne, UK (2016); Rudolfinium, Prague (2013); Manchester Art Gallery, UK (2013); Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna (2009); The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (2008); Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami (2006); and Tate Britain, London (2006).
