Incident (Upwards) (2022) is made from reflective stainless steel, which lends an ephemeral quality to the sculpture as its surface becomes animated with changes in its surroundings. Jutting upwards as well as downwards, its imbricated forms seem to defy gravity, giving the work a futuristic and yet organic appearance. A self-described ‘radical materialist’, the artist is ‘interested in the internal structures of material that result in their external appearance.’
