Jules de Balincourt has made the scenic design for the ballet choreographed by Justin Peck on Stravinsky's eponymous score, Scherzo Fantastique. The dance piece premiered at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in July 2016. Performances until 3 February 2017 by the New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center, New York.

The Kasseler Kunstverein presents with "As Far West As We Could Go" the first institutional solo exhibition in Germany of Jules de Balincourt. From 23 January until 15 March 2015 the internationally renowned artist will show a selection of works made over the last ten years as well as works he has created especially for the exhibition at the Kasseler Kunstverein.
The paintings are a gentle yet powerful exploration of everyday stories big and small derived from the artist’s globalized life and transcribed through his fluent and gestural pictorial means.

The Collège de France invites to the symposium “The Making of Painting” on Thursday, October 30 and Friday, October 31, 2014 from 9am. The Musée départemental d’art contemporain de Rochechouart will host Jules de Balincourt’s first museum presentation in France. The Paris-born, New York-based painter artist has been a notable figure on the New York art scene for the past decade. The exhibition will present a dozen of paintings from 2003 to now. Jules de Balincourt's "Parallel Universe" is showcasing an exclusive body of works realized especially for Collezione Maramotti in Italy. The artist, who worked simultaneously on the paintings, gradually created a dialogue amidst the works which evolved organically as he went back and forth between them.
"Parallel Universe" can thus be seen as a map which unveils inner worlds where Jules de Balincourt frees himself from the common representation of the world, time and space in order to disseminate a personal geography.Read more
